Down Lake Towada way.

When we arrived at Lake Towada, there was Zen-Buddhist shrine nearby that we toured on foot.
One of the heavenly guardian "dogs" posted near the shrine.
Just the two of us, and one fine day!

Towada Association for International Relations Cultural Spring Party and Potluck Luncheon

(That's a mouthful.)

Gathered here are the many organizers, performers, and servers who made the T-AIR date a real hit last week with the locals. The neighboring city of Towada puts this program on each year, wherein volunteers representing a mix of Western and Eastern cultures mix to enjoy time spent eating together and watching skits and dances put on by others, including yours truly.
Here's the ALT cast we assembled to perform "Nezumi no Sumo" (or "The Sumo Mice"). From left to right starting in the back: Melissa (narrator, director), Courtney (camera guru), Mary ("obaasan" aka grammy), this guy (the one and only "small mouse #2"), Rianna ("large mouse #1"), then in the front we have the Towada ALT supervisor (who's name I forgot—gomen ne), Aaron ("ojiisan" aka gramps), Valerie ("large mouse #2"), Julia ("mouse referee", stagehand), Vanessa (prop guru), and Anthony ("small mouse #1").

Biggety bam!
